A painted forest running the full length of a wall, the artist working into it by hand

How should people feel when they enter?

Before I choose a colour, a material or a motif, I ask myself this question.

It guides everything I create, from large panels to works painted directly within a room.

I work with light, texture and atmosphere. I want the art to belong to the place and leave something behind in the people who experience it.

Art built into the room

Each wall painting starts with the room — its architecture, its natural light and the way people move through it.

Sometimes the answer is a single work. Sometimes it needs to grow across an entire wall and become part of the architecture.

Sometimes a wall can become a view.
